Underfloor Heating North East

Underfloor heating is widely used in Europe and now in the UK, integrated into a floor screed it provides a gentle even spread of heat across the whole room.

It eliminates the need for unsightly radiators and opens up the room allowing freedom of expression to design the room you want. Because underfloor heating covers a larger area it can operate at lower temperatures (35°C to 50°c) it is ideal for use with condensing boilers, air source heatpumps and ground source heatpumps.

Underfloor heating is the closest you can come to the ideal heating solution. It’s energy efficient, providing an even distribution, eliminates draughts caused by convective air currents and also provides the ideal temperature gradient in the space where your feet are always warmer than your head. Due to the low levels of convection it also means that the air currents do not circulate airborne dust particles and relative humidity tends to be approximately 12% higher than with radiators.

We offer individual room control for each room where required with a night setback facility as it has been proven that it is more economic to maintain a minimum temperature overnight, it is also more effective when oprating ground or air source heatpumps.

Underfloor heating can be used to heat domestic properties, nursing homes, sports halls, offices, factories, nursery schools and warehouses. There are no risks of contact burns or falling against sharp edges or corners, no radiators to paint and in factories the heat is felt at floor level rather than disappearing into the roof void. Our standard manifold is the compact manifold which is compact, self regulating, complete with circulating pump and pre-assembled. We can also supply a low temperature manifold without the pump and regulating valve for use with heatpumps.

Our standard pipe is 16mm x 2mm and is a five layer PE-RT with a fifty year guarantee and CE approval. We also do a heavy duty pipe available where the pipe is going straight into concrete this is 20mm x 3.4mm wall thickness. We can provide wired and wireless control systems, a variety of fixing methods including Lewis Plates for joisted floors.
